  • Utility customers warned of scam (click here)
  • We want to provide you with the best customer service while keeping our rates affordable as possible, so we’re making a few changes to our billing system:
    • Beginning April 1, 2012, your account number will contain a zero before the last two digits. Please make a note of your new number appearing on your April bill statement. Using an online banking service? Please remember to update your account profile
    • Beginning May 1st, allowable credit-card payments will be $5,000 per transaction per customer.

  • Ebill Information
    Sign up for ML&P's free e-billing program and get a one-time $5 credit on your next electric bill. ML&P also offers online payment with live chats and mobile alerts to help manage your account.
    Instead of a paper bill, you'll receive an email notice that your bill is ready to view and pay, with a link to ML&P's secure Customer Service portal.

  • Third-party notification

    • Designate a third party to receive notice of a pending disconnect initiated by ML&P. 

  • Life Support Alert Program
    • ML&P’s life support alert program provides priority service to our customers with medical conditions that require medical equipment.  However, ML&P cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.  Customers with life support equipment should have stand-by, back-up power sources.  We also request that, if possible, the customer immediately notify us by telephone in the event of a power outage.

  • Landlord Agreement
    • To ensure no loss of service between tenants and no connect fees,  landlords can arrange to have the rental electric account transfer automatically to their name when the tenant requests a disconnect.

  •  Phone numbers
    • Underground cable locate - Some areas have underground electrical lines. Customers installing fence posts risk serious shock. Call the Locate Call Center of Alaska at 278-3121. The service is free and one call coordinates all utility locates. 
    • Tree Hotline - Any tree growing close to an overhead power line should be considered dangerous. Call ML&P at 263-5463, to evaluate the situation and either trim or remove the tree.
